Financials
What are Financial Statements?
Financial Statements are a full summary of all your business transactions for the year, produced in a universally accepted format.
Slater Chartered Accountants produces 3 types of Financials depending on your needs and type of business:
- Small $950. Suits sole-traders or a rental property business. (E.g. contract builder, real estate agent, single consultant, contract builder or electrician, artist or other one man band business.)
- Standard $1650. Suits average size small business GST registered. (E.g. mum and dad business or family business.)
- Company $1950. Specifically for a limited liability company and has to meet the requirements of The Companies Office.
How are the Slater Financials made?
Slaters goes through ALL of your stuff (and we mean all) transaction by transaction. It's a very exact process and requires time, detail and lots of detective work to track and hunt everything down. Sometimes clients have 1 bank account and sometimes they have 20. Every single bank account is dealt with and resolved until the job is completed. All these transactions are then coded and put through Xero software which has been in use at Slaters since 2011, and we prepare the final financial statements, as well as detailed work papers, making sure everything balances. And balance they must. Every single set of financials is then checked and when Brett the whizz lead CA is happy with the standard, they're deemed fit for client consumption!
Why do Slater Financials look so spiffy?
After the Financial Statements are checked and ok'd they're set into an electronic format that is printer ready. They are sent to our in-house state of the art Konica machine where they're A4 page-set, colour printed, spliced, stapled and guillotined. They're produced so they easily last the 7 year time requirements of NZ Law and IRD. These smart A4 booklets can be shelved easily and seamlessly in your office or home study bookshelf along with other Slater publications. We've done this so it's easier for you to store, organise and keep your accounting information all in one tidy place.
How are they sent to me?
The completed booklets are then given to Brett the lead CA for final check, approval and signing. They're also spot-checked by our marketing manager to make sure they're up to standard graphically. The final, approved set of Financials are then packaged up securely and sent out to clients within 24 hours by overnight courier. This has proved to be the safest and most secure method of transport for your personal financial information.
