The GST Team has just finished fighting its hardest month of the year. A big congratulations and thank you to Paul, Chen, Jess, Sheron, Paula and also Ariel who all did their bit in the month of October. It's was a tough month for the team and as usual they passed with flying colours! Heads down, they delivered. New team members Sheron and Chen (seen above, boxing on over a minor coding disagreement) worked tirelessly alongside Jess and Paul to get the GST''s out the door and filed on time with the IRD. It's a big job and involves countless hours of detailed and meticulous work, which is overseen by Brett and Brad throughout the process. Slaters has a lot of longstanding GST clients who use our expertise and services in order to get the best possible return. Sound easy? It's not. GST Returns and Refunds There's a great difference between a good accountant and great accountants. Good accountants file your GST returns and your financials with the IRD with little attention to, or understanding of the best way to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax. Great accountants however, draw on a far more comprehensive knowledge base that translates to a greater capacity to make claim where claim is due. It can take years to develop this kind of expertise, and Brett is renowned as one of the best in this area. His knowledge is in turn passed on to the newer employees who help Brett deliver "mint" returns of the highest quality. At Slaters, we pride ourselves on in depth knowledge of coding, reconciliations and structures that allow the client to legitimately claim back all they are entitled to. All our staff are thoroughly trained by Brett whose role as a partner still extends to a comprehensive reading of every single ledger/financial that sits on our shelves or leaves the Slaters premises. Not many partners offer this kind of attention and service to their clients and their team, but at Slater Chartered Accountants it's a given. It's big brain stuff. We like that. We like that a lot. What does this mean for the client? It means is we deliver the service and results that best benefit them and their financial developments. And for our team? It means they're constantly educated and challenged to be the best accountants they can be by a Head Partner who knows his stuff. That's what we're on about. Thanks GST Team. You guys make us proud.
